Bronchitis and Acupuncture

Many of my patients have been suffering from bronchitis, One patient (we will call her Jane) presented herself to my office in obvious distress. Her husband told me she had been in bed for 7 days, taking antibiotics and sleeping. She was so weak that she was unable to take care of the children or the house. (perhaps the reason for the husbands desperate plea for help). After a complete examination I decided that an acupuncture treatment would be the best approach for this person. The first treatment was on Monday the 13Th of April 2009. She was treated again on Wednesday the 15Th and again on Friday the 17Th, in 5 days her color was no longer pale and she was breathing normally. Her Sp02 had gone from 92 to 97 - an indication that the oxygen was again getting into her blood stream and her lungs were improving.

I am very fortunate to enjoy what I do. In this blog I intend to record success, thoughts and daily experiences from my practice. My motivation for this was listening to Sherwin Nuland on TED Check it out.
